Since 1973, the Vergt rugby school has given children from villages in the central Périgord canton the opportunity to practice a sport by learning rugby and its values. It welcomes children of all ages who wish to practice this sport. magnificent collective combat sport.

First the game and the fun

The goal of the educators is that the child discovers the pleasure of playing rugby and team play.

The training is built on the principles of moving from children's games to the game of rugby, bringing children to gradually master the basics of the game; advance, control the ball, oppose; and apply them as a collective actor.

Educators

Most of them are players or former senior players, who give of their time to supervise the children in a sporting way, and to support them in their rugby progress. They are all graduates or in training (Diploma awarded by the French Rugby Federation). They are also there to answer any questions you may have about training, tournaments ... Without them, the school cannot function.

The parents

For many aspects of school life (organization of snacks, supervision during outings, etc.) parents can help with the proper functioning. Indeed, the school operates only thanks to volunteers, and help from everyone is always appreciated.

Trainings

They take place at the "charles pestré" stadium in vergt every Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for children aged 5 to 12.

For Wednesdays and Saturdays (A bus financed by the vergt club provides transport for the children during each training session).
